Buildertrend is an innovative app designed to empower General Contractors in the construction industry. It provides a comprehensive suite of features and tools that streamline project management, including scheduling, budgeting, communication tools, and more.
By leveraging technology, Buildertrend simplifies complex tasks, enhances collaboration, and helps General Contractors efficiently deliver projects with greater accuracy and ease.
My Role
I served as a Product Designer within the Buildertrend design team. My primary responsibility was to lead the redesign efforts for new features on the mobile app. I successfully optimized key features, including the Cost Inbox and specifications, enhancing the overall user experience.
One of my notable achievements was collaborating closely with both the architecture design team and the marketing team. This collaboration resulted in a comprehensive update to the Mobile system guidelines. Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in launching a fresh and modern UI design for the store app on both iOS and Android platforms, effectively enhancing the visual appeal and usability of the app
Cost Inbox Feature
In the construction industry, both contractors and bookkeepers often struggle with tracking and organizing receipts effectively.
This creates challenges in maintaining the order of receipts and can lead to lost or misplaced documents. Furthermore, there was a lack of a centralized cost inbox to store all receipts, making it difficult to keep a comprehensive record of construction purchases.
Problem Statement 🤔
Develop a mobile Cost Inbox feature for general contractors and bookkeepers in construction.
This feature, offering receipt and bill scanning options, centralizes the organization of digital and scanned physical receipts and bills. Streamlining purchase recording, it enhances accessibility, efficiency, and overall receipt and bill management while minimizing document loss
